Deepening human connection & cultivating belonging.

I'm Emma. Author, creative and observer of life. Welcome to my world.

I've always been curious about what connects us.

About people. About nature. About the things we feel but can't always explain. About the invisible threads between our bodies, our energy and each other.

For years my work lived in the birth room. Supporting women through pregnancy and birth showed me how deeply we're shaped by connection, and how much changes when a woman feels safe, seen and held.

That's where my fascination with oxytocin began. The chemistry of connection. It's never let me go.

I'm drawn to women, to birth, to energy and to the whole beautifully complicated experience of being human. The place where biology meets intuition, and science meets the things we can't always see.

Over the years that curiosity has taken me in many directions. I've built businesses and communities, worked in birth education, written books and supported women all over the world. And somewhere along the way I realised the thread running through all of it was the same.

Connection. Belonging. Coming home to ourselves and to each other.

Women

The women who hold women, and the ones who need holding.

Birth

Where my work began, and where I first saw the chemistry of connection.

Energy

What moves between us and joins us all together.

The human experience

All of it. The beautiful, the messy and the unseen.

We're living through a time of deep disconnection. I believe the way back is through each other. Through the bodies we live in, the women who hold women and the communities we choose to build.

So that's my work now. Deepening human connection and cultivating belonging, through my books, my writing, conversations and the spaces I create.

And this is where I share what unfolds.

Born in Nottingham and rooted in the Midlands. Mum of two.

Grief has shaped me too. I lost my mum while I was pregnant with my first child, and so much of what I've explored since, about connection, belonging and what holds us together, has grown from that.

The Biology of Belonging

Oxytocin: the hidden chemistry of human connection

What began as a fascination with a single hormone became a much bigger exploration of what it means to be human. It explores the invisible threads that bind us to ourselves, each other and the living world.
